Who is Hilda Jonas? She is an internationally known harpsichordist and pianist, received her musical education in Germany, Switzerland and France. Friend and disciple of Wanda Landowska, she has given concerts throughout the world. She is noted for her recitals at colleges, universities, museums and art centers in The United States, Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria and Israel.
As guest soloist she has appeared with leading Symphony Orchestras - Cleveland, Cincinnati regular series and May Festivals under Max Rudolf and Josef Krips, Honolulu, Oxford, Jerusalem, Strasbourg and elsewhere. Under the auspices of Ohio State University she created and directed the famed Put-In-Bay Harpsichord Festival.
